Southern California is ON FIRE!

We are currently experiencing extremely high winds, high heat and low humidity in So Cal. Yesterday began a long and hard week of fighting fires and I have found myself completely glued to the TV and radio wanting to know what is going on. My heart goes out for the people that have been evacuated from their homes and are waiting with the fear that they may not have a home to return to. Even more, my heart breaks for the people that have lost their homes already! It reminds me, though, that houses and cars are just things, and what is most important is the lives of people (and their pets). I am thankful that so many people have been safe and taken care of so far and pray for the safety of everyone for the rest of the week!
